Most species recognize the lions as preditors/enimies, so they will take it out if its sick. Ive seen it before.

I have a fish only tank with live rock in there, but have used only the wet/dry for years...

Triggers should be the last addition to a tank for this very reason....
Good Luck! Maybe try to remove the trigger for a few days to let the others settle in a bit?

I would wager that the quarantine tanks ammonia level skyrocketed and this is lethal to the fish...
I would also wager that you will QT from now on. I also learned this way.....
