no i am not running excessive amps on the gfci...
no i am not running excessive amps on the gfci socket. this only happens when the hamilton ballast turns on. with the other m58 ballast made by jbj, it does not trip the gfci.

the gfci is through the whole system.... it only...
the gfci is through the whole system.... it only started tripping when i added the lights.
the only time it trips is when the ballast first tries to fire up. when i reset the gfci it works...

i'm really not great with electrical stuff or pretty much any DIY. how do i know what would be causing the short? and if its the current through the secondary wire, why would it not trip the gfci...

hey guys... i was sold a used a hamilton(?) m58 ballast and everytime it turns on it trips the gfci. but when i press the reset button on the gfci it turns on ok. just wondering if anyone had a clue...
