Any trap that draws water/bubbles downward creates more issues than it solves imo. If you're going to use a baffle I would design it so water runs over it..not under. I have found keeping the...

Don't get to caught up in the term 14k, 20k, etc. A 20k bulb doesn't necessarily produce 20k light color. For instance, a 20k radium on an HQI ballast appears whiter than many 14k bulbs.

Looks great. Keep us posted on how your sps are responding to the Solaris. I'm very interested to see how the LED lighting effects coloration.

I don't know very many people that have run 400w radiums on an HQI ballast that have been displeased. Bulb life is a little short but the combination is very nice.

I would place much faith in the "K" rating of a particular bulb being the actual color. A 20k radium on a HQI ballast is more of a 12k-14k imo. Some 14k bulbs run much bluer than a true 14k color.

Do you know when the release date of the Supermarine 200 will be? I am setting up a 200g tank but believe the 250 might be a little much.

With the type of flow we are now able to obtain through products like Tunze and Vortech PH, can anyone make a convincing argument why we should still utilize close loops?
