I only did 5 gallon water changes on my 80 tank weekly. If you can turn off the return pump when doing a water change, than you shouldnt have a problem. Its a good idea to have shut off valves on...

I also have 250 halides over my tank plus some t5 ho's, I keep my rics on the bottom, both orange and blue, and theyre happy, i dont think they like alot of light
