Next day shipping generally costs aprox. $25 for a small shipping box which can hold up to 10 anemones. Larger shipments may run more. (Weight of shipment is a factor.)
PM or email me for more details.

I ship MCA's that are between 3/8" and 2" size (max diamter).
Anemones commonly 'hunker down' during transport.

i noticed that in the picture, some of what look like anthelia are touching the anemones. do they not sting other corals? also, do they move around much? finally, are they quick to reproduce?

thanks!!

govtcheese - im from SF, and might be interested if they are not too aggressive.

Stichodactyla tapetum are a (relatively) harmless species of carpet anemone. Ricordea are (potentially) more harmful than these anemones in an aquarium. I've had hundreds of 'tapetum' anemones in my aquarium for many years. (If you want to see what you can keep in an aquarium with mini carpet anemones check out my RC gallery of pix. Note the Acropora.)
Like any anemone, they can move around if they want to.
They can reproduce if they are maintained in an ideal environment and they are kept well fed.
This one is being fed a (frozen) silverside.

I have about 8-10 of these (started with 2 around a year ago). they're really cool! Mine have reproduced well, but not enough to become a nuisance. I don't feed them at all.

they've moved around a little but haven't bothered anything.

bump for a great seller, bought three of these last winter and there's 8 now, they look great, don't move too much, and have never bothered any coral, also I've hardly ever fed them

They look great.I would like 5 shipped to 49015. Let me know what it would cost and if you think priority mail is still an option.

Thanks, KillerWhale0217

I would be interested in a couple. I also have a lot of pink pulsing pom-pom xenia for sale or trade but I hear they're not the best shippers. It's very healthy stuff & walking all around my tank.

I prefer to ship just the anemone(s). They detach from rubble during shipment.

Answers to some more commonly asked questions:
*I don't ship internationally
*These anemones are not known to host anemonefish
*Anemones usually "shrink up" during transport
*Don't glue 'em- they'll attach on their own
*They commonly "disappear" when first placed in an aquarium, but they will reappear somewhere else
*Certain Butterflyfish might eat these anemones
*These particular carpet anemones are fairly "hardy", (unlike some of their bigger brothers)
*A search on RC using 'tapetum' as your keyword will give you more information on these particular anemones

Gary,

Quite a coincidence that I opened your for sale post today. Earlier when i was rearranging some live rock, I happened upon another cluster of your little anemones that I never knew existed. I bought mine in February of 2002. when these were still unidentified "ricordia", and over the three years they have multiplied sevral times over and I have shared them with several hobbiest in the area.

Anybody that gets these will not be disappointed.

Keep up the good work
