What camera do you use?

What camera do you use most? If you have multiple, which is your favorite and why? Do you edit your photos?

I have 4 digital cameras in the ol' bag of tricks not counting my old 35mm film cameras (by old I mean old! My grandfather's minolta that brought me into photography and an old Nikon). My wife shoots a Fuji FinePix S2 Pro DSLR and a Nikon 7600 pocket digicam. I run an old Nikon D1 DSLR and a Canon SD500 pocket digicam.

I love my D1 for its speed and solid build. I'm not too thrilled that it's only something like a 2.7 megapixel camera. The camera was a gift, though, from a fellow photographer and family friend who felt my film photos were good but that I needed to move into the digital age, so I won't complain. I absolutely love the flexibility of a DSLR but the $$$ costs for equipment (i.e. lenses) can be high. For macro shots of the reef tanks and anything else, I always use my D1.

My wife's Fuji S2 Pro is a very nice DSLR. Not as fast as the Nikon, it produces some very stunning images straight from the camera. The S2 Pro is VERY light-weight...feels almost 1/4th the weight of my Nikon D1. I like a heavy, solid camera though so weight doesn't matter to me. The S2 takes 2 forms of memory which is nice (CF and xD) but it also takes 2 different battery types to run the camera which it not so nice.

The Nikon 7600 is a nice small pocket digicam that I, for one reason or another, cannot get good shots out of but that my wife does a great job with.

The Canon SD500 is a great pocket camera IMHO. I love the flexibility it provides with pre-set settings, but still fills the role I bought it for: a good quality point and shoot.

In short, I use my DSLR for when I go out with the express intent of shooting, for macro shots, etc, but the digicams are so I can take candid shots at family gatherings and such and not be caught without a camera on everyday travels (cause I always find "the shot" when I don't have a camera with me!).

At present I do not do any post-processing as I haven't learned photoshop yet. I may crop and resize a picture, but that's about it.

20D. Speed, noise handling, features... what's not to love?

I also have a Coolpix 880. That's for taking places where I wouldn't want to risk or deal with my 20D.

My main camera is a Nikon D70s. I can't say enough good things about it.

my other 2 point and shoot cameras are an Olympus UltraZoom C-770 and a Sony T1. Both take fantastic photos.

I started with Olympus C2020 then Sony F707->F717->Minolta A2->Canon D30->Canon 10D->Fuji S2->Canon 20D->NikonD70->Canon Rebel XT (i still use it)

I never had luck with Canon 10D and 20D (focus problem), but the XT is fine.

I have a Nikon D70 with a couple of lenses. The one that I use the most is a Nikkor 60mm micro lense. Great lense and fantastic depth of field at F32-F40.

Well, I'm embarassed to list all of my cameras.

And as far as my favorite, it all depends on the type of shoot.

How's that for an ambiguous answer?

Yes I do edit my photos. Otherwise, I'd shoot film.
