It still says exclusive Hydor technology... Maybe Sun Sun is just the Chinese name or marketing firm???

Come on guys, who wouldn't want a Vibration Pump with Big Flow Impeller for 360 degree Circumgyration ?? Can your Koralia do that?

But Luke....

Think of the money you could save... It's like $5/US, and All I need to do is run a dedicated 220V line for it to my tank...

Heckuva deal... I mean with the good quality magnet steel and strong absorbtion, it makes it easy to move pump, and it suitable for fixing glass surface...

I can't do that with my Streams...

I will say this; for all the negative trade balance we have with China, they could maybe, possibly, perhaps, just a thought, hire someone who is a native English speaker (King's, or American, I'm game) to proofread something....

And it's not just the aquarium trade. And It's not just China.

As I have stated before on the forum.

"CHINA'S LACK OF PATENT OR COPYRIGHT LAW ENFORCEMENT SUCKS"

These guys are amazing ! They have absoloutley ZERO respect for any copyright or patent and our goverment and Europe do nothing to stop them !

I have also heard that they are about to release VORTECH Magnetic knockoffs very soon !

Whats next ?.....Solaris LED lights maybe !

What makes you think it isn't a product licensed from Hydor or that perhaps it's a Koralia rebranded?

as long as it's cheap and work people will buy it. By the time the koraline algae cover the pump you couldn't recorgnize if it's a koralia or a knock off. Say what you want about china but people are cheap want to pay less and get more that why china will always be in business of copy.

that's because that's what they're good at... in Asia, motorcycle companies like Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki invest so much money in research and design and Chinese companies will make a motorcycle that looks exactly the same, sans the paint scheme... of course they can afford to cut their prices in half... they're not using the same quality parts, and they don't have to pay for research and development... they just reverse engineer the thing...

in a consumer's point of view, this "competion" is good, but in the long run, it is detrimental for the hobby's progress in new equipment... they are taking market shares from companies that actually invest in research and development...

Unfortunately he's right. People are cheap. But D is has a good point, this could be licensed from hydor as well.

However....

China can steal something form another company, produce it cheaper because there are no unions or labor laws worth anything over there, and there is no R&D on stolen ideas, then sell it to us cheaper, and we are more than happy to pay for it because its "less expensive". Sad really. lets just keep our fingers crossed that there is a workers revolution in their future.

AS long as it looks, smells, and works like a Hydor, NOT interested

Good day.
