FS 48" 2x250 MH w/ 2x110 VHO hood

Subject says it all....I am looking to sell my Hamilton fixture that has been good to me for the past 3yrs. I ran this 48" hood on top of my open 120. It worked out extemely well for me especially when I ran XM 10K bulbs. Included in the set up is 2x250W MH w/ 2x110 VHO. It has two 4" fans that turn on when the MH's come on. It is powered by a dual magnetic ballast with separate on/off switches and quick disconnect plugs that reach at least 6'. I am selling due to an upgrade to 400W MH's. Price is $460 firm and worth every penny. It is literally plug and play.

Bump for a good price...also for a good light...I had one for years before I sold it and it was very reliable...never a problem.

Don't have a pic here at work but once I get home I will take a pic and post. FYI it's black on the outside...very clean looking. It can be hung. The fixture also comes with an acrylic shield.

Here are a couple pics of the hood. It has two fans that are wired into the ballast so that when the MH kicks on the fans come on. The ballast is quick disconnect and the cords are at least 6ft. long.

I know there is a lot of lighting options available right now but if someone is looking for an all in one fixture this is where it's at.

What kind of trades are you looking for? Equipment, coral, etc?

That's a good question. It depends upon what you have to offer but at this point I've got everything I need besides a controller in regards to equipment. As for coral it would have to be a cash and trade thing but I'm leaning more towards cash.

Do I need to be in the $300's to sell this thing? How about $375. I feel like I am giving this thing away...sad.

I will keep your light fixture in mind. When I decided on a tank I may just get back to you.

I am a little confused about where the fixture fits into the whole canopy top of the tank? If your tank is longer do you have to have a longer fixture? That sounds dumb I know but oh well call me dumb.

REsts on top or comes with legs. Longer tank needs longer fixture.

Me, I always go the canopy route and retrofit the lighting. But others prefer fixtures, sometimes suspending from the ceiling, etc etc.
