Broke my NW200 before it even made it into the sump

So I was opening up the 90 that connects the pump to the body and low and behold I melted through it.

Anyone have a spare?

How did you manage that?

Anyway I doubt anyone is going to have a spare unless they broke theirs.

My bad...

I don't have any super hero experience. I am just one of those normal guys that gets a car dropped on him or something in the background.

I already sent a message to octopus. I didnt expect someone here to actually have a spare but you never know. Someone may have gotten angry with their skimmer or a mod went bad and they gave up on it.

On a different note. I believe I managed to rebuild it.

That is a disturbing picture.

Well the skimmer is in the sump working. Nothing a propane torch, a dewalt drill, grinding bits, pvc, needle nose pliers and PVC cement couldnt fix.

Damn that looks like a long list.

The ends justify the means!

Congrats on the fix, and don't forget to shoot pics.

I dont want to shoot the fix too soon. I want to make sure it is actually working for at least 24 hrs.

EDIT: It's been a little less than 12 hrs and already have some nice green gunk collecting in the cup. Pics to follow.

Ok here is the repair it is hard to see it as I didn't want to remove it from the sump. It is 3/4" pex PVC tubing that I used to fix it. I also lengthened it a bit so that the pump is even with the base of the skimmer. This was actually by accident. I used the torch to heat up the end of the tubing to create a flair so the nut that is suppose to go to the pump couldnt pull out of it. Have to be careful not to go too much or the nut won't slide back on far enough to thread on to the pump with the gasket.

Here is production on a literally brand new skimmer with a couple of mods after less than 12 hrs.

yummy
