Feeding emperor angel
I just picked one up and he eats a few pieces of chopped angel formula, but I really want to fatten him up.
I also have nori in the tank, but he has not touched it.

If you just got him, give him a few days to acclimate and he should start eating more aggressively. With angelfish I like to feed spectrum pellets soaked in selcon along with piscene mysis and nori. That usually keeps em fat.

My Emperor didn't eat nori for about a month, he just ate mysis and pellet. Now you have to beat him off of the nori it with a stick. He will come around.

Mine is a teenager in the midst of changing colors.
He attacks nori but also loves the large New Life Spectrum pellets. Nibbles at mysis too, not his favorite though.

Mine will eat anything and everything. He secretly keeps waiting for me to put my finger in so he can sample it.
Mine eats frozen mysis, brine, spectrum pellets, and flake food, and nori as well. He loves hunting for pellets on the bottom of the tank.

A good start if you just picked him up and he eats at all. |
