Cracked Frogspawn

I just got a small frag of frogspawn. It's about 2" tall and about 2" wide. There's a crack along the length of it - if it wasn't for the flesh I think it'd just fall in half. It's obviously very fragile, so I've just kinda buried the skeleton in the sand. Is there something else I should do? I thought maybe bind a rubberband around it to secure it. Will it heal itself? Do I need to dose anything in the water?

Thanks.

The rubberband may be a good idea. Check the calcium levels often as that will be the best dosing/testing you will be able to perform until the skeleton re-grows.

Perhaps you could use some superglue to bind the pieces together until the skeleton fuses.
