are these anything special

Do these look like anything special. Someone told me they may be purple deaths or purple somthing or anothers. I am not really a zoo guy.

Thanks

If the polyps are the size of a dime or larger then I would say they are purple deaths.

i believe purple deaths are a bit darker, and don't have as much red in them. but ive never seen in person, so i can't be sure.

Can you get a clearer shot of the colony, and then **** them off then take a shot?

I will take some additional pics. The pic I posted does not really show there true color. They are pretty dark purple with brownish skirts. under actinics the have green mouths and a litle green showing on the skirt, They are a little smaller than a dime. The picture below is of the zoo rock when I first got it. the zoos pictured below slowly disappeared as the rock was always getting covered with sand. Then these purple things just started growing. it may be some kind of morph between the 2 colors. My tank is weird, I have had 3 different kinds of xenia start growing of which I never put in the tank.

They don't look like purple deaths to me either. The frill on the purple deats is more of a greyish... JMO

Very, very nice. Maybe you should submit them to zoa id for a name, if they turn out to be a morph. Very pretty
