full tank shots

So I always see pics of zoas and yeah, they are awesome but can you guys share some full tank shots with your zoas? I think it would be cool to see where your placement of zoas are and some of the corals you're keeping with them.

that's nice, have you had any issues with the Naso picking on polyps? I've heard they do that sometimes.

SMY168,that is not a Naso Tang,it's a whitecheek or Powder Brown.I have a small naso & a powder brown-neither has ever looked at the zoas-both model residents.HTH

I guess if I'm going to ask for pics, I should probably post mine as well. The system is a 24 Pod running on stock 64 watts PCs. Inhabitants include 4 fish (sixline, dusky jawfish, bi-color blenny, red stripe goby) multiple zoa colonies, 3 types of rics, 3 gorgs, i sponge, a star polyp rock and kenyan tree.

Thanks for the update 45commando.

My cameras not as good as some I've seen but here's my attempt, I've got huge Halameda growth as well, even more since this pic was taken last week or two ago:

Yeah, I've been a busy little bee...but I'm getting some equipment next because the tank overall looks like crap. The corals are fine, but the tank is not as clear as it should be. Got a Phosban reactor and a protein skimmer on the way.

Peace,

Chip

Crap you guys are going to make me buy a nano for beside my bed. My hubby is going to divorce me...

I thinkif I only had that much space, I would want the contrast to be the best I could get it. Like the ultimate mix might be, imho: BamBams, Cat Eyes,Creamsicles,Blue eyed dalmations, bumble bees, blue orgasms, alien eyes, fire and ice, grateful dead, mean greens, pink elephant plays, pirate's booty, pink asterina, RLs, and maybe some yellow submarines...

You could get like one polyp of each and put them in the nano and it would look awesome forever. Sorry for all the names but I was looking on zoaid...

Some beautiful tanks here for sure. deep6er, cool seeing you here.. glad your keeping a sweet CANADIAN zoa tank Here's my 20g.. nothing compared to some of these .. Man I need a bigger tank.

*edit* After looking over the pics I guess this isn't really a "zoo tank" All my zoos are on the bottom of the tank. So they are all kinda hard to see.. but you get the idea. I just switched to 250w HQI from 150w so I am hoping to see better colour and growth soon.

I'm not sure I've ever seen 2 tunzes in a 20g tank, that is some serious flow! Anyway here is my 40 breeder a couple days after I made the switch from a 29 gallon. Since taking this picture I have put all the rock and fish back in, as well as re-aquascaped a bit. I'll post another picture when I get one, but this is all I have for now.
