I have many thoughts on this most of which will take this thread downhill I'm sure. No doubt it will be interesting to watch develop (not this thread... but Nascar ).

OK JayS, that's two out of HOW MANY? Want some real fun, go watch IMSA racing, if they still have it. Go right, haul butt, go left, haul butt, repeat as necessary. Now that's driving.

Seems those NASCAR boys have a problem when they have to turn in the other direction.

nascar used to be one of my fav. things to watch. over the years with all the rules, and changes its just plain boring. then #3 was killed. that pretty much ended it beign fun for me. i went to a bush race about 2 years ago. apparently you have to be drunk to watch the race and enjoy it. i had seats on the end of the row, and i guess going out from my end was 2 steps closer to the bathroom or something. every 5 min. some drunk was coming my way. and of course i would have stand up to let them by because there so much space between the rows! i barely seen any of the race because of this! now even on TV its like watching 43 clones of a car run around for 3 hours. heaven forbid someone bumps some else. off to the nascar trailer they go. i have more entertainment from watching cars going down the highway in front of my house. if i watch a race any more its usually the first 20 laps and the last 20. i do like the short tracks (the few they actually run anymore). but i will never spend the money to see one live again!! just my 2¢

im waiting on NHRA drag racing spend 3 days settup a car, and you can go home in 4 sec.

I don't mind watching LaMans, would be more into it if I could find it on TV. Any specialty channels I can order it on?

I also enjoy IRL but not as much as I use to. We have http://www.grandprixofhouston.com/ coming back here this year. Amer LaMans will be on Saturday before, I'll have to go.

Anyone play PGR3 on XBOX 360? So much fun....

JayS

IMSA GT is gone now I beleive. Nissan dominated that type of racing back in the 80's. Purley prototype cars. Could go 250 MPH and then stop and turn on a dime in about 10' of space. .

I saw them run at Del Mar in SoCal one year. Beautiful machines that could run and turn. It was awsome.

Hey JayS, whens the race? I'll be headed thru there in April. Going to stop at Gilley's. We're riding bikes from here to there and back. 3400 miles in 7 days. Should be fun. may have to stop in and see ya.

I agree. I was offered some tickets for the race, but turned them down. I would rather go diving, or watch a race where you actually have to turn both ways to get around the track.

Either that or tear the thing down and put it back together in time for the next run.

I've stood at the tree several times in Pomona and I'll tell you it felt like my insides were gonna rattle outside.
