looking for ideas to aqua scape a 125 mixt

I want to use the LR in a way that looks good, gives good swimming space and plenty of surface area facing the light to stick my frags to. Since I want to keep the softies and hard corals seperate I was thinking of having seperate piles of LR. Anyone have pics? Tank will be BB

Here's some pics of my 125g, it's about as mixed as you can get. I've found that corals have a much higher tolerance with each other than most have lead me to believe.

It is nice, but thats the aquascape I have now in my 65 and I find it problamatic. The softies grow everywhere, and the LR piled up the back of the tank makes it look crowded.

Have you check out the tank of the month yet on RC. Best aquqascaping EVER!!

I am almost ready to add rock and water to my 125 and I'm going after that look. THis tank is around 200g, but I think I can pull it off in my 125.

Yeah, that 3 mounds of rock is pretty cool, I may go that route, I was also thinking of 3 "low profile" mounds of rock. I would have them instead of piled high, piled low and wide, giving lots of swimming space above the rock and lots of well lit surface area for the frags. Since the 125 is not a deep tank it would prolly not look too bad.

the new overflow design makes scaping this tank tough. But from a functionality purpose, I like the new design much better.

Someone needs to design a much smaller Overflow.

Thanks traip93.

I am satisfied with aquascape in my tank, but is very difficult to present 3D aquascape on the picture.

Here's my 5ft. long 125 (18 inches deep). Softies are all on the right island with sps more towards the left island. My efflo hangs over the ledge. I do have some smaller sps on the same island as the toadstool leather, colt and finger leather island as well as some shrooms and zoanthids between the softies. The middle island is made up primarily of SPS and LPS corals.
