Worm Irritating my Zoas

I just got a small frag of RPEs, unfortunately, the piece of rock that came with the zoas has a worm (or worm like thing) imbedded in it. Orange string like feelers come out and slide across the zoas, almost constantly. I tried to pull them out with tweezer but they retract. Any suggestions how to get rid of this thing?

is it a spaghetti worm?

if so - only thing i know of that takes care of them is a copperband butterfly.

Yeah I think that's what it is. SUCKS! I'm not going to get a fish just to eat it though. Gotta be another way.

not pushing the cbbf, especially if you've got a 29G (reading your signature), but for future people that read this: cbbf will take out spaghetti worms, aptasia, and featherdusters. quite the utilitarian fish!

as for another solution: u can break the rock to get him out, that's what i end up doing in my nano's...

i'm interested to hear if anyone else has another solution though!

I can't frag yet and these are only three polyps. The glue sound easy enough though.

I'm new here but found something to help out this week. I received a nice pink zoa coloney that had one of these worms in the rock. After fw dipping didn't work I went to the LFS. The owner suggested Flat Worm Exit dip for 15 minutes. It worked very well.

Hammer and chisel those guys off the rock (if you can remove it). Just make sure the part with the zoas doesn't also have the spag worm when you break it.
