Help purchasing new tank

Where is a good place to purchase a new tank. I was thinking of a 120 gallon glass but my LFS is asking an absurd price for it. But I am also worried about shipping prices from ordering from a company. What should I do? What have you guyes done in the past to get your tanks? I am also worried about price becuase I am a teenager without a job. But Christmas and my birthday are comming up soon so I hope to get a lot of money from that. I live in Michigan if that helps anyone.

Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

When I was buying my 75, I called around to 3 differen't lfs to see which one had the best price and then I ended up driving 25 minutes away to get the tank. You may also check the selling forums now and then and local reef club forums.

Are there any reef clubs in Michigan?
There is only 1 LFS in my area, but there is suppost to be a very nice one in the Lansing area that I was interested in.

What part of Michigan are you located? I know theres a few good ones on the border of Ohio and Michigan. You could always google it or mapquest fish stores in your area.

glasscages.com has them for a very resonable cost. They wil be in Detroit on 12/3 , I am sure you could pick it up there. Some people love them and others question the quality of the tank. Since you will be able to go in person you can decide on that yourself prior to taking the tank home.

Preuss pets in lansing is your best bet.

As far as reef related clubs, there is michiganreefers.com

Is your LFS Pier 701? If it is, that's the most expensive store I have been to in Mich. Hope to see you on Michigan reefers.
