Huge Derasa Needs a New Home

I kind of hate to get rid of this clam, but it is just getting too big for my tank. I would like to find it a 24" or wider tank so it can have plenty of room for a few more years.

Personally, I have had it for over two years. Not sure how long the previous owner(Orr2003) had it, but I think it was at least two years. Before that, the clam was owned by a reefer in Pennsylvania.

Only problem is, it has been known to eat small children.


jk - The clam spit the child out unharmed.


The clam is 12" long and 9" tall. Probably at least 9" wide when open.

The black perc in the pic hosts in the clam, so I hope it can adjust to the change if/when the clam finds a new home.

I do not want to consider shipping this clam, sorry but I do not want to take a chance with it's health. But I will drive a while and deliver it or at least meet 1/2 way. I am flexable.









I would prefer to trade for a few rare/LE coral frags, but if you do not have the livestock to trade, I will take $120.


I would like the option of occasional visitation rights too.
