Will clown fish host a long tentacle plate coral?

Just wondering if I could get a long tentacle plate coral for a pair of clown fish to host instead of an anemone? What are the chances?

Clowns hosting with ANYTHING is 50/50 in my experience. I have had clowns host with powerheads and ignore anemones. I have had clowns act depressed when their anemone moves from their favorite corner.

Worth a shot.

My first clown hosted with a powerhead, then a hammer coral. Another went straight to the anemone. I've had them host in colt corals, leathers, and zoos.

It seems that almost any tomato or maroon clown I've had will host just about anything. Percs or another story.

If it does, it may annoy the plate a bunch.. so it may not be a good thing.

This would be the only thing that I would worry about. It may or may not bother the plate...keep an eye on it.
