Joined the LPS club - some Chalice pics

I did some trades for some nice Chalice pieces! Thanks ReeferMac and nine9d for the tubs alien eye. These are all just frags right now .. So, I thought I'd post macro shots to show off their beauty.

The "tubs " is awesome how long has it taken to grow to that stage? If I ever get a picture that is in focus I could join in.

Well .. I didn't think it was going to make it.. I think I had it in to much flow and to much light. I think I found the sweetspot for it though. It has taken 3 months for it to get to this point. Here is a pic a few days after I got it. Sorry for the bad pic.

Here is one of my frags. Still getting a feel for where it should be placed. Its eating well. The picture is not very good the colors are much more vibrant. Oh well I'll keep working with the camera.

Here is a close-up (sorry about the quality) that shows the color a bit more closely.

Hey Platinum.

The ones I got from you today are fantastic. Especially the Star-Centered Micro and that Chalice of course is real sweet.

I'll post a picture of that after I get a good shot of it.

Yeah, the colors are amazing on this coral and the picture is pretty accurate (I white balanced the camera with the current lighting). The green rim really trims the red body well. The mouths are starting to get some green mixed in with the yellow, like the mouth on the bottom left of the picture.

Lighting makes a big difference on the colors....I'm using 2-250 SE Hamilton 14K's and two T5 blues.

I think I glued the wrong side of the frag to the rock as the growth and rim edge is growing toward the rock instead of outward. Regardless, it's growing out to be one of the sweeter pieces in my tank.

I think it's an echino...oxypora or echinophyllia, not a chalice though.
