What Fish Are Not SPS Safe?

Anyone have a link to a list or just a list of fish that I should not put in my tank with SPS's?

Thanks,

David

Not true about the lions and some triggers. You can keep bluejaws, sargassums, black, and crosshatch triggers. You can keep lions, But they will eat your shrimp if you have any aor any fish that will fit into its mouth.

Angels and some tangs might eat the SPS. Most other fish won't touch it. Some of those fish will eat other reef creatures (like shrimp, crabs, fish, etc.), but they won't likely touch your SPS.

I keep triggers in my reef.

I would avoid all angelfish, other than genicanthus, and bi-color blennies. Non-genicanthus angelfish are about 50/50 shot at being polyp eaters.

I have witnessed PBT, Red Sea Sailfin and Hippo eat coral and SPS polyps. Luckily, none of these have been mine, but the PBT and Hippo now live in my FOWLR. Most of them will not eat it, but some will.

1# non SPS safe fish: clown gobies! When paired up they will tear up an acro every time they make a nest.

On the subject of triggers, I have had no problems with my Niger trigger with any of my corals (SPS or otherwise).

some large angels, most pygmy angels, some tangs, pairs of clown gobies--esp yellows (greens aren't as bad individually), most triggers, puffers, and many, many others.
