My photo skills are improving
I took these today with all the pumps off. I am getting a little better.
I'm not sure what this is but I like it. I have had it forever. This is my last piece of this milli. I grew it out to 4 colonies and now I am losing them one by one. The flesh just strips right off, usually after a bulb change???????? Green with purple polyps, George from Geosreef hooked me up. Green tips that poke your eyes out! Finally, I bought out a fellow reefers entire stock and got this, an unexpected surprise. |

Thanks, I am finally having fun again.
I have always wanted a magnifica or gigantea anemone, I purchased both over the course of the last year. They both ended up walking all over my tank killing everything that I didn't move. I still want a Mag, but I will hold off and just enjoy how things are going. I wonder how things would look if I killed those pesky red bugs? |

blue one looks to be hoeksemani, i love the structure. you are getting some very good coloration, excellent work. are you doing anything out of the ordinary or just diligent with upkeep? when i set up my next tank i hope to do just a few stags and one should be a hoek like that, thats a gorgeous coral with great coloration and structure. that beats the pants off either of the blue torts any day of the week. and ive had both

Schanz, lighting: 5- 250 watt 14k Hamiltons over a 54" x 36" x 24" tank.
Funstarfish, I am running a geo calcium reactor and kalk stirrer and other than that I just try to keep up on my water changes. I always wondered what that coral was. Come to think of it maybe it is a hoek. I will take a side shot it has a neat growth pattern to. I just noticed you are from Portland, Oregon is so nice. I go skiing at Batchelor every year. Dennis, that milli came from my lfs half dead. It roared back to life and now I wonder when I will lose my last piece. Hopefully the loss was due to a bulb change. I think the ora blue/purple milli is just as nice. Thanks again for the kind words. |

I was browsing in your gallery and must compliment you on your aquascaping. First rate! You've achieved a nice balance of positive and negative space. I'll be using your pictures for inspiration when I set up my ~100g system (unless hell freezes over first).
Nice job! (Great photos too!) |

yeah I love the aquascaping too. It has a lot of depth which is something my tank lacks; although I love my aquascaping as well
Anyway nicely done. The corals add much to the 'scape, it's not like they're 'added' on top of it or anything. Well though out, very beautiful. Nice job.
