My NEW! 280gal Socalcreations tank soon!(June)

Well I ordered a new tank from socalcreations. 72x30x30, Its going to be a room divider tank. One large overflowbox on the side and all my returns through the overflowbox. As far as the exterior designs i have not told them to work on it yet, but will slowly work on it depending on my budget. But as of right now they will be building me a steel stand, tank, and sump. Just thought i would post it up first. whooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just dont remind me about how much $$$$$ i'm spending. i will faint~ "Work in progress" is to slowly forget how much i am spending =D. Tank will be sps only depending on how well my fishes behave, as i love aggressive fish, aka angels. And i am crying since i sold everything already and my livestock is in the living room, most of it is dead. Due to a bad tank order through someone else though. It was repuatable vendor, but they couldn't deliver what i asked them to do, so after a few problems with them, they took the tank back and told me to go through someone else. So i am now going with socalcreations. Hopefully smooth sailing from here on.

Any updates of the tank will be shown here. I will post more as more information is given. =) Thanks moonpod and algaeguy for all your help and tedinator for your ideas and comments. Truely inspired by their tanks and i hope i can do as good as a job as they have. And of course socalcreations current project =). So check out their tank at:

www.socalcreations.com

Pictures when avalible will be in their current project's tab in Eliah's 280gal tank. I will post more information and pictures as they come. Thanks

Dang, you already got your tank? That's really quick. How is the top braced? Did you get a hood??? I see you are going with T8's only? Is this tank a dedicated FO tank? I would love to check it out sometime when you have it up. This tank is going to be looking really good when you have water in it.

oh no, socalcreations is the company building it for me. The guys build it out of their living room and garage. I wouldn't dare to build a tank this size =). But they do a way nicer job then the other companies out there, the seams are like bubble free. I will try to take more detailed shots when i get the tank so you guys can see it. The tank is supposely finished just needs some finishing touches. So hopefully i'd get it soon. I've used t8s on my 150 tank w/30" tall and got good results. But SPS would only grow on the top. If i actually switched to t5s it'd probably be better but they kinda cost too much at the moment.

At the momment i am thinking i'm most likely going fo but will see if i could get away with sps. It kinda depends on what my angels think.. but they probably will chow it down. =D Oh yea did i mention i have a small living room and it will take out like a quarter of my living room lolz, i am going to feels like my fish!

Tank is completely built, just some routing and polishing left! Sump has started to take shape and should be done in the next two days. Looks like everything will be done for the scheduled due date of June 9th.

my fish tank is at home and i'd be emailing Joe to see if he can post some more pics, since i know there are some of you guys who really want to see the pics before i get them plumbed. So i went out and bought some temp lights from reefgeek who hooked me up with a great deal. Thanks Greg! The lights are awesome and thanks for the great deal. Since i didn't have a canopy built i am trying to find someone still to work on a hood for me. If anyone knows anybody that does some sheet metal or alluminum work that they can help me on or recommend me to a place, i'm trying to get one done for my lights. Thanks.
