prostrata or mille?
How can you tell these apart? I haven't seen either one enough to be able to tell the difference. Is it something obvious that I just haven't figured out yet?

This leaves me a little confused as well. I THINK it is that A. prostrata has radial corallites that are all the same size and A. millepora has radial corallites that are not all the same size. The AIMS description (links above) as well as the description in Veron's Corals of the World (which I think are identical) makes it a bit confusing though. In the main descriptions for both prostrata and millepora, it is said radial corallites are the same size. In the similar species heading for A. prostrata, however, it is stated that the difference is that A. millepora has radial corallites of similar shape, but mixed sizes.
Any else notice this apparent typo and/or care to comment? David |

Well, my milli's look rounded at the tips and my Prostrata forms more of a point. Maybe that will help yah.
