My New SPS Tank

My 2 month old 4' x 3' x 2.5' SPS tank with migrated livestock from my old 4 ft tank.

4" DSB with fine coral sand
3 sides using 12mm Optic White low iron glass and external 2 feet overflow cutout from back glass.

lights consist of 2 x 250w Iwasaki (yes Sakis, I'm still a hardcore saki fan)
1 x 400 W BLV 20000K and 1 x 250W BLV 10000K

Tank currently is only a quarter filled .

My preference is to grow SPS from frags and have them acquire a natural growth pattern adapted to the tank condition. Likewise not really keen on having every species but having patches of same species grown from frags and intermixed with one of two diferrent colonies to give a more natural look.

robecom - nice tank. I really like the stand.

so you know, you can directly embed the pics in your posts by using the img tags and the path directly to the pics.

For example, the path to your 3rd pic is shown towards the bottom of the page in your gallery that displays the pic. Add the IMG tags around that path, and the pictures would have shown up directly in this thread.

Major props on your set-up robe! Very similar to what I'm doing in the new room.

Is that Diana Krall "live" in concert on your TV screen?

Nice tank! Good to see it up finally!

Nice set up, I'm getting a 4' x 3' x 20" high right now. Can't beat the 3' wide space.

Nice tank robecom, but it makes your tv look small. Time for a bigger tv.

The poster pic is by Vassily Kandinsky. I got it off from a secondhand shop for $10.

Really great tank and you are off to a wonderful start. I like your philosophy of keeping it to a few species of corals for a natural look. If only I could follow to that rule....Is you equipment in a basement or is it all encased in the cabinet?

All equipment are either under the tank or behind the walk-in closet.
