Queen Angel

Hey, im looking into getting another fish for my tank. Everything is all good, it's a 120 gallon and I have a volitan, a fuzzy dwarf, a zebra eel and a tusk. I was thinking along the lines of getting a queen angel because I want something vibrant and respectful, that people will go "oo" and "ah" at. The tusk is great, but people just dont like it as much as I thought they would...I love him at least. Anyway, I just wanted to know if that fish was compatible witht he fish I have, and if anyone has experience with these fish? Thanx a bunch guys!

A queen would be terribly cramped in a 120. Many of the large angels are also risky with lions, and can pick at their fins mercilessly. Queens are also very aggressive as they mature. A tank well over 200 gallons might be more suitable for one of these. With more room, aggression can be diminished somewhat. Personally, I'd pass on this fish.

Well, im pretty sure i dont wanna toss a trigger in there, cuz that doesnt sound much better than having an angel. Yea, im having second thoughts on the angel, and thought maybe id be better off with a kole tang. Ive always wanted one, and the LFS said they'd be getting one in soon. Also, wat is a zebra puffer?

My tank is too small... are u insane? Honestly, read what you are typing. I have a 2 foot eel, which has his special little side of the tank with plenty of rocks and caves and holes where he is satisfied to live out his days. I have a small harlequin tusk that has plenty of space to swim, the fuzzy dwarf has more than enough room, and the Volitan has his own HUGe cave in the middle, and spends the rest of his day roaming around. I have a skimmer that removes waste like crazy, plenty of waterflow...tell me though, how is my tank WAY too small? I dont see any problems whatsoever. For an angel...yes. For a fuzzy dwarf...no. For an EEL...no. For a tusk...maybe in a year or two. For my volitan...do they really move around that much, and if so, they really like to put on the gas and take a couple laps around the tank? no... Seriously though, wat is a zebra puffer?

That is an awesome pic of a Queen Angel. I would love to have one, but don't think my Volitan would enjoy her too much.

You know all these folks writing about tanks being too small should really take a moment and realize that any tank is too small for most marine fish, mainly because no tank is, well.... THE OCEAN! I would say with the right amount of fish in the tank the angel would be fine.

Thanx guys. Actually, i think the ocean is the best place too, but a 1000 plus gallon aquarium wouldnt hurt either, lol. Im not gonna go with the angel. I think ill snag a nice kole tang cuz i dont need an angry fish in my tank, and i hear kole tangs arent that territorial, plus i need to get rid of all the algae in my tank that the lack of hermit crabs (hungry tusk) havent taken care of.
