Photoshop CS & RAW help
I got photoshop CS for christmas to replace 7.0 mainly so I can shoot RAW now with my 10D.
I'm not sure if I'm doing things right, when I shoot raw I get 2 files per picture, something.CRM and something.THM (I think those are the extensions, I'm not looking at them now) Anyways the .CRM will open in photoshop CS and I can adjust it and such there, but is there any way to see a preview of the picture quickly, even if its just a thumbnail? In my folder it seems like it can't recongize the file, but when I click it Photoshop does open. Is this just something I need to learn to live with or am I doing things the hard way?

CodeToad,
Use the "File Browser" within Photoshop CS....your OS file manager will not be able to view the files due to them being in a raw format. I have a 10D & use CS as well.

Normally you can't see a thumbnail unless you're in a program that handles raw images. But I found an XP "hack" just an executable program that lets you view the RAW files. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Cool guys, I'll try the browser in photoshop, thanks.
Let me know if you find that program Travis, thats awsome! To convert them I just opend up the .CRM file and it brings you right too the editor/converter. Ahh I have been missing out, RAW is so nice

Try the canon photo professional
I liked it better than adobe ps cs, and c1 for working with raw. |
