Monti Cap

My orange monti cap is about 6" across and going downhill. I'm going to frag out about a 1/4 of it and get rid of the rest of it. I suspect it's just too big and doesn't get enough flow. Downside of a mixed nano .

Anybody willing to come by is welcome to the rest of the coral, pickup only.

Agu

Hey Steve,

Just fragged it into three separate plugs. It isn't pretty because the skeleton was so thin it broke into pieces. I'll send you my phone number.

Anybody else is welcome to frags or I'm going to give Steve all of them. My tank just isn't right for hard corals.

AGU,

I have the frag you brought to the October meeting and you are welcome to have it back if you like. It is growing well and looks to be in good health...

Agu, I understand the "My tank just isn't right for hard corals" part...I tried that frag of the Monti you gave me and I tried the piece of the Monti Digi I purchased from Brians and have had little success...I am sure it has alot to do with the amount of softies I maintain and the fact I do not do a lot of water changes....LPS and Softies though Thrive at this point. That Torch Frag grows daily and The Lime Green Nepthea I bought from Brian is loving life...I just love my swaying, waving and expanding sofies....

Thanks Robert, but I'm actually trying to get rid of the monti frags. Steve hasn't called and I still have three frags ready to go.

James,

If Steve could pick one up for you that would be OK.

Agu, If you really want to get rid of all of them I can take them and put them in my tank and when I have a meeting here we can give them away or get a few bucks for them.

Jerry,

If you can pick them up that's great. For some reason my tank has turned toxic to montis. Don't know if it's the growth of the LPS or the Mrs opening the windows and dropping the tank temp (to 72 F). In any case they're not happy campers in my nano and have to go. My only hope is that if I have the right tank I can get a frag back.

Did I hear you volunteer to host a meeting ?

Agu
