Putting a naso in my 150g tank???
Hi guys,
Heres my issue,I have a 150 gallons tank fish only with lots of LR.I have a 7 inche volitan,a 5 in emperor,a 5 in panther grouper, and a yellow tang. Each of those fishes does not really cross path except the yellow tang and the emperor.I would like to add a 9 inche naso tang. Tell me,should I and can I? ThaNKS dERIK |

I wouldn't. You have a big load already, considering the fish you have will grow considerably. The available real estate will diminish quickly.

volitans - at 9", the Naso tang would only be at about half its potential size and it would appreciate your entire 150-gallon tank all to itself! Your Yellow tang could hit close to 8", is territorial and will not be thrilled about the addition, yet would likely lose the battle. The Emporer Angel could easily hit 10-15", is notoriously grumpy and tends to get more so w/ age..... Your Volitan has also only hit about half its potential size and may act aggressively if it feels crowded.... So, my guess is that with fish you already have in your 150, over time you may have some issues. Adding another fish doesn't seem like a good plan to me.

Oops - forgot to mention that the cute little 5" Panther Grouper easily hits 12" in captivity (and fairly quickly) as well....
Any particular reason for wanting starfish and urchins? Cheri
