Beer Drinkers....

Who here owns a Kegerator....for those that dont know what these are and consider themselves beer drinkers, well you should think about that. I have found a single unit that holds a half barrel for 560 (price includes shipping) Can anyone find a deal that beats that, I've looked all over online.

Buy an old fridge, go to williamsbrewing.com and but a tap.

I generally use 5 gallon kegs which leaves half of the fridge available for other uses.

Yeah, I want just the mini-fridge ones that come all together. I'm in an apartment so I dont have room really for another fridge, and being in college, 5 gallons of beer wont cut it. Thats enough for my damsel for one night. Hah.

Doug,
Is this http://www.williamsbrewing.com/AB160...D=409&CATID=14 the drip tray you have? Where did you get one with the hose attachment?
Thank you,
Gareth

Oh mobius, try the local classified adds. I got my full setup (minus the fridge) for $50. I just added a old fridge someone was getting rid of and now I've got BEER!

Here's what I got, found the fridge on ebay, and built the bar around it. Holds 2 full kegs, not too bad of a price but the electric bill is outrageous. Hope this works...

Just make sure that when you sign for it, you don't lock yourself out.
I was so excited to see the Fed-ex truck outside that I ran out in my boxers and when the door hit the wall from being opened so quickly, when the door closed behind me it locked!! No phone, no key.....ended up going door to door to find a phone to call the roommate........ugh.....those were the days

LOL. probably. It does get a lot easier. We've not drank for about 8-9 years. I've pretty much lost any taste for booze whatsoever. Never thought I'd say that as my booze of choice was anything that's in the glass or can!!

Ughh. Kegerators are so bitter sweet. I've had one for the past 3 years and last year I had to remove it from operation. It was getting too easy to just go grab a beer at any time of the day. I was forced between the decision of beer and water constantly. What did I choose? Well beer of course! After noticing my waist constantly increasing I figured it would be good to remove the kegerator for a while...

I never had a taste for it; I just went for the effect. Actually a beer thread doesn't really bother me, I graduated up to drinking whiskey straight out of the bottle a long time ago. I would drink beer in combination with shots, but beer on its own was WAY too weak for my high tolerance.

Well that is an old pic. I actually don't drink hard liquor at all, most of the liquor is for others. I only drink beer and as soon as the keg of Bass is gone I am planning on shutting down the fridge for a couple of months to save $$ on electricty.

Not sure on the actual amount but it increases our electricity bill by about $100 a month. Take into account the high electricity costs here in California.
