id clam

can anyone id this clam and would it be good in a tank.

I think you need to do a little research on animals before you just take them from the ocean. It is going to be alot of unecessary dead creatures. Especially if you only have a 10 gal. I see all the different posts asking the same thing. What are they and are they good. Read up a little before taking them.

I can take these animals back i have them in a seperate 10 gallon and I live 5 minutes from the ocean and will return them after I find out about them. I am just curious as to them trust me I will not let them die.

I think it might be a scallop as it has the little hairs around the edge of his shell. He has a large orange foot that he is jumping around in the sand with. Do scallops have a foot like this and if so is he tank safe?
