Identifying photoshopped photos?

Is there any way to identify pictures that have been photoshopped?

What John said!

There are such a thing as red and blue zoanthids, however about 5% of zoo's advertised as red or blue are such.

Photoshop'ing is less of a concern that 20k blue lighting IMHO.

We really need to contact the digital camera makers, get them to design a good white-balance system for reef aquaria

Now, to dream some more impossible dreams on a Friday afternoon off

pics

Well, I think a good place to start is if the rock or sand around the zoos looks very blue/purple. This is a dead give away that the photos were taken under vho's/pc's.
Also if the zoos look like they're glowing like when you just have your blue vho's on. Like they would under a blacklight. Then I would be cautious.
Usually good zoo pictures have white sand or white rock around them for contrast, so you can tell the true color of the zoos.

Best of luck!

Mark, setting white balance is tricky enough, most camera manufactures do a great job for normal artificial and sun lighting. The aquaria lighting has such a crazy spectrum the only true way to set your white balance is to shoot a submerged white card shot in your tank and use that as your white balance point. Its a total pain in the ***.

Infact I borrow my bro's D-30 and don't have the manual... I've thought of downloading it so I can figure out how to control the flash!
