Japanese style lighting in the US

this may have been answered before...but is there a site online, or a place to get the japanese-style spot pendants? some of the stuff looks like the halogen track lighting at home depot, but i dont know what the difference is on them...i couldnt seem to find exactly what type of bulbs those fixtures use and what not

In general their type of lighting is not available here yet. Although I heard there is a company trying to bring them over. Can't remember their name though

Tagging along for this one Buckwheat... uh, mikrok. Is it usio or ushio? Not to stir a controversy but, why red? does it help growth for something?

Hey Buckwheat, uh, mikrok, there is another post I saw, http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=388911 That looks like a really good setup, still don't understand the red though.

bogg, that is good to know. I really do not mean to sound in any way sarcastic. I wish I would have known about this forum at the startup. I learn so much here. I prefer the colors from the deeper waters. Does it hurt to mix corals from shallow and deep water with the same lighting? Always learning and great responses.

Premim Aquatics has both the ice cap pendant and the bulb you are looking for. 70 watt and 150 watt versions, 10 & 20k I think.

Hope the link works.
