Question AB Spaceliights with the 20k Radium

Hi Everyone
Did"nt really know which heading to put this under so if it get"s moved i guess i"ll find out.I currently have a 120 gal ( 48x24x24) Berlin system mixed reef tank.My current lighting is a Custom Sealife 48 inch 2x250 10k Ushio and 2x96 power pc actinic lights.I would like to up grade to a AB Spacelight or star light.I will be using the 2x 250 10k DE bulbs with the 20k as the supplimental actinic. I was wondering if the 20k this hood comes with would be better for my corals than the 2 pc actinics some of these hoods come with. Does anyone out there have one of these AB Hoods ?? Do you have any pic"s i would be able to check out? You could post them here or e mail them to me if you like.I dont have any Acro"s or clams in my tank yet.My tank has been set up for a little over 4yrs now since i had moved to a new apartment.Any info would be Greatly appreciated.Sorry for another lighting thread.

Thanks again

Hi
I've got the 2x250 + 1x150 Aquaspacelight on my tank and I love it! The color of the light is awesome. I feel that the 150 watt radium would be better for your corals than the PC bulbs. Unfortunately I cant post pics right now becuse of camera troubles but its a great light fixture. Only down side for me thus far is the heat this fixture puts out.

Definitely go for the 150W Radium.
Unfortunately, I purchased the one with the 2-32W OSRAMs. That 64W is way underpowered for the 2-250W 10Ks. I love the 10K lights, but now I'm searching for a way to get more actinic in there.

Thank"s for the replies everyone.I do think this is the setup i will order next week. Now to find the best prices, lol. The power just came back on here a few miniutes ago. It was out for 6 hours and i dont have a generator.I will tomorrow though.Time to use my sears card i guess.Luckily i do have an airiator that runs on batteries.(i spelled that wrong i think). If anyone has any pics to post that would be cool too.Once again thank"s for the replies.

i have the 72" spacelight with 3 -250 10K's and 4 - 24w osram actinic. i changed the middle bulb to a 20K 250w for a month.. but didnt like the loss of intensity. i changed it back and also ordered the icecap 660 and added 2 110w VHO actinics. this was the best combination for me instead of the 20k's. i posted a thread with pics of my XM 20K bulb with pics a while back.

I would highly recommend buying your light through www.premiumaquatics.com. I bought mine from them, and I know if anything ever happens to my fixture they will back me up 100%

While I have not tried using an additional 20K metal halide, I can tell you for certain that while the 10K's are on, the PC's are almost unnoticeable. The 10K's are incredibly bright by comparison. What I like the PC's for is a nice blue light late at night after the MH's go off.
