FS: Real Deal Echinata frags
Hello fellow collectors!
I have two frags of the super rare Tubs Real Deal Echinata that I'd like to sell local only. The below pic is a shot of my colony, under 400W Helios (no actinic): I have one frag that's 1" for $100. I have one frag that's 3/4" for $75. Please note, that this piece is classified as 'hard to keep'. Should only be considered by those with a mature, stony-reef system. Again, local only, no shipping. -K

Karl could you hold the smaller one for me. I want to buy it for Ed (Dr. Dolittle) and I can pay you in advance but I want it to go straight to him. I am just afraid I might kill it  I owe him some frags and this was the one he wanted most.

Sorry to butt-in but why is this a rareity?
-I like the coralite extensions, nice and long...does the coral keep that characteristic throughout its growth?

Hey Matt!
The Real Deal spurred the bottlebrush craze a couple of years ago. Hundreds of wild and aquacultured pieces that remotely (and some, not so remotely) resembled a bottlebrush, was labeled an echinata. However, true echinata are extremely poor shippers. Usually breaking apart during transit or simply perishing before its arrival. It's not particularly rare in the wild, but collectors typically don't dive deep enough to harvest them, as it requires diving equipment. HTH -K

Like I tell everyone, there's nothing special about my tank. It's just different.

Both frags are spoken for.
I might have some much cheaper frags available next week, so keep an eye out. Maybe I can bring them to the meeting. -K
