Koralias for 55 sps tank

I am looking at purchasing some koralias for my 55 gallon reef to replace all of my powerheads. I was thinking of getting two Koralia 3's. Would this be enough flow for an sps dominated reef tank? Or should I get more. I could also get 3 koralia 2's.

I' m in the same boat, tagging along, but I think I am going with 2x#4's.

I have two 3's and my sps digi's are nice and furry with polpys. They are definitely getting enough flow to thrive and grow fast.

I would have gone with 4's but I have lps lower in the tank which I do not want blow around a lot.

It took me while to get the 3's in a position that gave the sps good flow but did not disturb the lps too much. If you do not care for LPS go for the 4's.

PM jwb0126...he just added a I think a 2 and 3 to his 55 and loves it, he has a mix of LPS, softies and a few SPS. He could chime in and give some input.

I have a 4 plus closed loop and isnt enough flow for me.

I have two #3's in my 55. It isn't enough flow IMO. I'm going to order two #4's and see how it does with all four pumps in there.

i have 2 #3's and it is hard to position them to get enought flow around the tank. i think i would go with 2 #4's if you havnt bought anything yet.

I have 3 koralia 3's in my 3 foot long 58g. I have tons of random flow and a turnover rate of 44x. Koralia 4's are huge but for a 4 foot long tank, you may want to go with them.

A little off topic, but . . .

I have two MJ1200s with the new SureFlow mods (or whatever the commercially available MJmods are called) in my 55. They create some awesome flow, and the new kits come with both sized propellors.
