Sump Question

My sump layout:
drain/skimmer > baffles (over, under, over) > fuge > return

* a single piece of glass seperates my fuge and return

My questions is regarding the flow through the fuge,...It seems to skim the top of the fuge only because there is a brown algea growing on the sand bed in the fuge section. It makes sense that most of the flow would only contact the top half of the fuge section. Would it be a good idea to put a small powerhead in the fuge for extra flow or is there a way to divert some flow to the bottom of the fuge.

Thanks, Adam

That's the way a fuge should be, a low flow area. Get some life down in the sand bed to eat up what settles in the fuge.
