Hot Mandarin Love

My wife and I have caught our two mandarins going at it before, but never had the opportunity to capture it on video...until tonight! So thought I had to share our little amateur mandarin porn vid. Enjoy!

Gary, that's what my wife and I thought as well. They did it a couple of times but we didn't see any "release" as you say An interesting theory my wife came up with: it seems that around this time every month, give a take a few days, they would go at it. Could it be timed to the female mandarin's, for lack of a better word, menstrual cycle? Curiouser and curiouser!

Thanks, you gotta love Marvin Gaye, or as we call it "baby makin' music!"

if your Mandarinfish get enough food they'll do that spawning dance every night and "releases" will become a common event.
You have a nice looking aquarium. Is there a refugium in the system?

Thanks Gary, I've had these fish for quite awhile now and we'd notice them doing the spawning dance every so often. Perhaps they do it more often than I give them credit for but are not often caught in the act. The tank has a 30g gravity drained refugium and no skimmer or any filter connected so there's quite a bit of micro fauna for these guys to get nice and fat
