Help! Featherduster left his tube
Got a new featherduster today. He left his tube tonight. Is he dying? Should I do anything?

No he will just find somewhere he likes and then build a new tube.

He most likely just shed his plume and if you watch the old tube it will most likely grow a new plume in a week or two.
