Large Leather

Hi,
I'm contemplating selling this leather...it is taking up lots of room in my tank....Not sure what it is worth.
Close-up

See in 75 gallon tank for size
Full Tank Shot
My other option is to trim back and frag, but I would imagine a leather this size would do some serious sliming if fragged.
Thoughts?? Suggestions??? Ideas on selling price??
Thanks,
John

Fragging it wouldn't be too bad. It will slim for a little but will get better. I am interested if you do frag.

How big were the frags you took? Did you just cut it up with a scissor? Did you attach to plugs or rubble? Did you use rubber bands? Sorry, lots of questions.
Any feedback on what I could get if I sold as is?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,

I just cut my leather off at the base and rubber banded the frag to a rock. The result was two corals gowing out of one base due to the rubber band cutting it in half. See below:

I took about a 1 inch by 2 inch strip off and cut it into 4 sections with a razor blade and rubberdanded them to rubble. it took a little while for them to attch but now i have 4 frags of the green with pink tentacle leather frags!

With large rounded growth habit leathers I go around the cap up to the base with a pair of scissors and just trim it like cutting a big round peice of construction paper into a smaller one. The result is a nice long round strip peice that can yeild 10 to 20 frags and the center cap is maintained on the original stalk which allows for rapid heeling and rapid regrowth.
