quarantine tank advise
I am ordering in a couple of fish/inverts/corals and I want to quarantine them before putting them in my display tank. I just setup a nano(25gallons) a week and a half ago with rock/sand/filtration/etc.. The nitrites/nitrates/ammonia in the nano are 0ppm. Would it be a bad idea to put my new creatures in the nano and use it as a quarantine for a couple weeks to make sure that they don't put any nasties in my main tank? (There aren't any fish/coral/inverts are in the nano yet) Or should I setup another 25gallon tank I have laying around and hope that it doesn't have any nitrate/nitrite/ammonia spikes that kill off my fish? What are your thoughts?

I think I'll just setup the other tank. How long should a tank be setup with water and filtration before adding fish to it as a quarantine?

since you have rock and sand in the NANO id suggest using the 25 gallon one and use water from your 120 in the QT. Do it as you do a water change and add a small filter to it that way the water is same as in ur display tank as far as specs go
