I Need Clownfish Help!!!

Here is my issue.....my tank has a lot of flow, like 20X or so. I used to have a lot of triggers in my 220 so i had water quality issues, but since I got more flow, my water has been great. I dumped the triggers and got onto the reef fish side.

In november, I bought 2 true percs. They always were up in the top corner of my tank all the time behind the pumps but they WERE eating and stuff. I thought they just hid up there because they werent used to the tank yet. Well, tonight, I saw one of my clowns sucked into the side of my Koralia. These clowns arent huge, but I thought they could hold their own.

So now I have one true perc left. What do I do? Do i get a breeder net to house him in for a while? Or do I just let him go? Can they really not help the flow? Please let me know what you think.

Not trying to insult you, but fish dont normally get sucked into powerheads. I saw something like this on another thread, and somebody mentioned that the fish may have been sick. I have a 57x turn around on my tank and for sure my papa clown is about an inch in size. Just my .02

i know that as well as anyone, I am just saying, that is where i found him, sucked into the side of my powerhead.

So you are saying that a clown should be able to hold their own no matter what the flow is? I'm just curious if the flow could have worn him down or not. If not, then I accept his death. If the current was to strong, Im just looking for some way to help the other one that is still alive.

I'm no expert at this, but I would think that yes the clown should be fine. How young was the clown? When I got my pair at 3 months old they would occasionally pass the powerhead and kinda get blasted a little. Now they are a little over a year, and I guess got used to it.(Haha they better in that tiny tank they have no other option

Sounds like he was already gone when he was floating throught the current, and eventually ended up there.

I have had that happen to me but with a mj1200 and that wasnt a fun adventure. Can you move the power head at all? Try relocating it and see what the other clown does.
