Stonington Boroughs

I just got back from meeting someone down at Mystic Aquarium. I decided to head to Stonington Boroughs to get some periwinkle snail shells (its a quaint little town, with a commercial fishing/lobster dock). Probably got about 20 shells, and a whole bunch of periwinkles for Craig's McLovin. There are tons of them (both live periwinkles and shells) so if anyone is looking for them, it's a nice place to go.

with all the commercial lobstering that goes on there, you can still go lobster diving off their shore?

As far as I know you can still go - we used to go all the time - our favorite still is the the New Years Eve night dive, with a couple heat packs you stay nice and cozy and have lobster lunch on New Years - its the best.

You can obtain a lisence from the state - you must adhere to the size limits - definately don't get caught without a lisence - the fines are pretty harsh.

There are a bunch of great underwater "reef spots on our local shores to go diving for them! Think its time I update my equipment!
