any one have one of these

I have spent hours reading about how to control my aptasia, and would like to hear from people who have had a copper banned butterflyfish, lots of people have posted that they are hit or miss, but it seems that those who actually have them seem to post good results. My aptasia is in areas I cant get to it so kalk is no good. I have a120 gal with lps sps and clams, so I would love to hear from people with similar set ups.

Thanks for any input.

I inherited a CBB from a friend who was getting out of the hobby. He'd had it for over a year. It did not like the stress of the move and never ate in my tank. Died after about 2 months. I'm guessing it lived that long off of copepods.

On the other hand, I've used peppermint shrimp on 2 occaisions. They worked great for me! I'd recommend going that route.

I have never had one that hasnt ate them. If you have 2 tanks put one in the 2nd tank dont feed it just give it a rock with aptasia it will eat it then your set cause hes hooked on it like crack.

I think that it depends on where they are from as to if they eat coral or aptaisa. Any one if this is true?

You reallly have to qt a copper banded butterfly fish for about 4 weeks by itself and get it to eat first before introducing it to the main tank--very hard fish to get to eat plus the stress of other species competing for the food.

They are really hit and miss.

Some swear by them and others like myself have never had them eat aptasia.
