Koralia Users????????????
I am planning on buying two of the #2 or #3 and putting them on opposite sides of the aquarium and alternating the flow with my ACJR to give a wavemaking effect.
I have a question: In order to keep my equipment as quiet as possible, will the pumps make annoying noises when starting up 3 or 4 times per minute. I have heard that they do make a little noise when starting up, and I don't want any clicking noises to bother my wife. I have been able to change things around to make my aquarium nearly silent, and I want to keep it that way. What have you experienced (especially those of you that run them on a current device)???????

yes mine do make noises when starting up.
You don't want to put Koralias on a timer that completely turns them off and on they will not last very long. A Seio controller is good because it just turns them dowm to like 10% then back to 100% etc but never turns them completely off and on |

I don't want a new controller. I want to use the one that I already have. What can I do with this situation?

your out of luck. as stated they won't last long being turned on and off that fast 15-30 min. off is what is reccomended. and you will always hear the clicking noise upon start up. the only controller that won't have the noise will be the seio controller. otherwise you will have to deal with the noise and set the AC controller so it don't switch off and on very often unless you want to keep buying new pumps

Thanks.
On marine depot in the seio controller.........."Do not operate the SEIO controller with any other type of pump All warranty will be void " Does it work with other powerheads? One other option is to unplug my closed loop, start up my super squirt, and get myself a pump for it.

alot of ppl have used the seio controllers with other pumps with no problems. they prob. add that warning to protect them and to get ppl to buy their stuff
IMO I would go with the closed loop option. less junk in your aquarium that way.

I might just do that. I have already done all the plumbing with valves and a Super Squirt. Now it's just a matter of buying a pump to run it. A ReeFlo Dart is too much power for the tank, but I was thinking about aPan World 50X-PX. Person who I bought tank from used this pump, seemingly with success.
