Anemone For Percs?
I have 2 really nice true percs, but they dont seem to be interested in my green bubble tipped anemone, or at least not yet. Anyone have any success or suggestions on a really nice looking anemone that would attract the percs to swim in?

My Percs love their gigantea carpet. I haven't tried my RBTA, but I have heard that they like them also.

I had luck with a BTA and a clarkii, but never with percs or ocellaris. I may give a carpet a try.

I have only had success with a large BTA, anything less than 5 inches and my clowns always ignore it.

I've had percs in most anemones.
Carpets are the most desirable, but time will help.

Its really hit or miss, I have a perc that wouldnt host for over a year, then I introduced a baby Rods Clown, which ran right into my LTA... after a month the other clown joined him and hasn't left since.
I've heard people saying crazy stuff like putting a clown food clip near where u want it to host, or even taping a picture of a clown hosting one on the glass... |

i tried all that... even putting a lap top up to the glass and showing a clip of a clown hosting from you tube. i even put a picture of a grouper hoping that it would scare the clowns into it. the only thing that happened was that my family suggested i get a new hobby! time will tell if your clowns will host. OR you can get a juvi clown which you know hosts, throw it in the tank, let it host and hope your clowns learn (and hope it doesn’t get beat up or killed).

It took a long while before my ocellaris would host in my RBTA. I introduced a Hadoni thinking that might work. It did, two weeks after I put the Hadoni in, the clowns went into the RBTA and now I can't get the Hadoni out of my tank.

I think each clown has his or her own prefrence.I have had percs that would not host an RBTA.I switched it for another RBTA....they hosted right away.I think,if the breader introduces anoms to there clowns early on,they will be more likely to host.My baby percs host Rbta,Sebay,GBTA,Carpit and Gigantica from the first month of life.
