Pentax K10D Camera Question

I have recently purchased a Pentax K10D camera and DANG, I must be doing something wrong. When I take "most" photos of any type they seem not to be "CRISP and SHARP". I feel like i'm doing something wrong. It has auto focus but it still doesn't look right. Does anyone have this particular camera and could share some tips?

Thanks,
John

My mother-in-law has that camera and none of her pics are very crisp. I always attributed it to her inability, since we have a point and shoot and almost always have clearer pics.

Can you post a picture or two so we can see what they look like? Gotta either see some samples or see what settings you're using (aperture, shutter speed, iso, etc.) or preferably both

Here are 3 photos:

1/8, F4.5, ISO 100

1/45, F4.5, ISO 800

This is the best of the 3......

1/45, F4.5, ISO 800

I plan on taking a photo class, but for the money I spent...........

The foreground looks great but the depth of field stinks

Have you tried a higher F stop? try stopping down the aperture as
much as you can without slowing the shutter to much..

The K10D can do it but the Kit lens isn't that great.
What lens are you using?
