I went yesterday. I love this place, but I must admit, yesterday I was dissapointed. Things just didn't look happy in there (and that's the first time I've ever said that about OF). Although I will say in their defense, I am sure they were off for a couple of days, and things needed to be fed and well lit again.

The fish appeared sparce and just looked thin, but that's just my opinion. Like I said, I'm sure they just needed to be fed after a couple of days of being off with minimal lighting.

They usually get a shipment on Thursday or Friday, so I'll be going back this weekend. I got a gift certificate I need to use up

They also recently lost a shipment of fish and corals from what I heard at the store.... I think it was 2 weeks ago.... They somehow never left a shipping dock to fly out here, and they never even made it to OF..... So Im sure that coupled with the holidays and it hasnt been a good few weeks for the store... Let's hope things get back to the way they were....

Huh, I didn't know that. Ya, I'm sure that had an effect on the store. Hopefully all will be back to normal by this weekend. Dave and his crew are good guys that know what they are doing and know what they are talking about.

OF is in Lake in the Hills on Pyott Road, kinda by the Lake in the Hills airport. It's in an industrial park area, if that helps at all.

they should come back.... although you may want to look for zoo pox (white spots on zoos) since it usually appears after a stressful event. Dave has plenty of room to move things around, so I am sure he will take care of things. I am still planning on going this weekend continue with the updates.

I was in there last Sunday. He had some nice pink zoos. But yeah it has been looking picked over lately. Seems like all the LFS's I've been visiting lately are picked over.

many do not get shipments around xmas because of the shipping delays that the holiday causes which can lead to lost livestock

I found out that the last 3 shipments had delivery problems for all of the reasons listed above.
They plan to get a shipment in tomorrow morning, but today's snowstorm had the 2 airports jammed today. Not sure if tomorrow's shipment will make it alive or not.

I plan to stop in on Sunday if the shipment comes in.
