Can a mantis catch ICH?
I have a fish that has ich in a tank with my peacock mantis shrimp
My questions are: 1) Can the Mantis be infected by the ich? 2) will chemical ich treatment be harmful to the stomotapod without hypo? Last edited by Dunkpv; 12/21/2007 at 10:32 AM. |

ich is a fish parasite, so no a mantis cannot be infected with it. however, ich usually means something is off in your water quality which would lead to ich as well as a slew of other bad things. i dunno if chemical ich treatments are bad for mantids. Some say that the only fast ways to kill ich are hypo and copper. both of which are of course big no nos for mantids.
