I just did the upgrade from a 46BF to a 125 and LOVE it. No regrets whatsoever. You'll really appreciate the additional room to maneuver. And you can get bigger fish too.

Good luck!

The nice thing about doing an upgrade is you get to do all those things you wish you would of when you first set up.

after 5 months in for me we upgraded to a second tank 55g and a 180g. I think "if you have the room to upgrade, DO IT"

I have to ask, is there a reason besides the deal you're getting on the 125 that you're wanting to go that size?

IME, I've known a lot of people that do the 125 and are sorry later on that they didn't go with the 180/200/210/220. You wouldn't be taking up that much more space (footprint) and get a lot more room to aquascape.

Go for it... but be prepared for a diatom bloom when moving a sand bed. If possible, set up the new tank with all NEW LS and let it cycle before moving all of your LR, coral, etc. That way you prevent all of that bloom getting on your LR.

Yes do it. You'll love it. I upgraded from my 55 to my 125 just 1 year into the hobby.

Now I've got a blue tang, Tomini Tang, and Yellow tang. I wouldn't beable to have my 3 tangs in the 55 and I love it!
